Proyecto Magdalena

In November of 2006 we were contact by the town of Magdalena, through a young resident living in London, who informed us of the very poor living conditions of the town’s elderly residents.

Friends of Bolivia provided funds to help with the refurbishment of a communal kitchen and dining room adjacent to the local church.  The kitchen now serves regular meals to the town’s elderly residents.

Additional Project – Proyecto Molino

The Sisters of San Vicente de Paul supports a community of around 140 families in one of the most remote parts of the Bolivian jungle.

Friends of Bolivia funded the purchase of a mill, which is used to produce sugar to sell in the city so that the community can become self-sufficient.
